Job Announcement for Student Research Assistants
Professor Dr. Thomas König, Chair of Political Science II, is currently seeking a Student Research Assistant (Bachelor Program) for 20-30h per month, starting September 15 or October 1, 2017.
The Chair's research is mainly rooted in the area of comparative political
science, legislative research with a focus on Europe. Methodologically,
most activities center around empirical testing of institutional theories on
political bargaining and decision-making.As a student research assistant you support ongoing research projects of
Professor König and his team. In particular student research assistants help us
to collect and manage datasets with Stata and R. We expect a strong interest in
quantitative data analysis and political science research generally. A
background in Comparative Politics, European Union Politics or International
Relations is preferred. A strong command of English is mandatory as well as
some prior experience with data management/analysis.
We offer active participation in research projects and flexible working hours. Working language is English. Students with no prior experience in R will have the opportunity to learn this programming language in their work time.
